Q: What types of massage do you offer?
A: We offer a variety of massages including Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, sports massage, myofacial release, Shiatsu, Thai, and PNF stretching. Please check out our massage therapist's bio for complete information.

Q: How do I book an appointment?
A: You can book an appointment through our website, by calling us directly at 650-448-1472, emailing us at phcdfitness@peninsulahealthcaredistrict.org or by visiting our clinic during business hours. We're open M-F 8am-6:30pm, Sat 8am-1pm. 

Q: Do I need to book in advance?
A: While walk-ins may be accommodated based on availability, we recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time and therapist.

Q: What should I wear for my massage?
A: Wear whatever makes you comfortable. During the massage, you will be covered with a sheet or towel, and only the area being worked on will be exposed.

Before and During the Massage

Q: Do I need to fill out any forms before my first visit?
A: Yes, you will need to complete an intake form detailing your medical history, preferences, and any specific areas of concern.

Q: How early should I arrive for my appointment?
A: Please arrive at least 10–15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork and relax before your session.

Q: Can I communicate during the massage?
A: Absolutely. If you need adjustments to pressure, temperature, or positioning, feel free to let your therapist know at any time.

Q: Are massages painful?
A: Some techniques, such as deep tissue massage, may involve deeper pressure and can be slightly uncomfortable. However, your therapist will always work within your comfort level.

After the Massage

Q: How will I feel after my massage?
A: Most clients feel relaxed and rejuvenated after their session. Some may experience mild soreness or fatigue, which usually resolves within 24 hours.

Q: Should I drink water after a massage?
A: Yes, staying hydrated helps flush out toxins released during the massage and aids in recovery.

Q: How often should I get a massage?
A: Frequency depends on your personal needs and goals. For general relaxation, once a month is common. For therapeutic purposes, more frequent sessions may be beneficial.

Policies and Payments

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept cash, credit/debit cards, checks, and some health insurance plans. Please inquire about insurance coverage before your visit.

Q: Do you offer gift cards/vouchers?
A: Yes, gift cards/vouchers are available and can be purchased online or at our clinic.

Q: Is tipping customary?
A: Tipping is not required but is always appreciated as a gesture of gratitude for excellent service.

Q: What if I have a medical condition?
